Sigrid is a yoga instructor and movement artist living in NYC. A lifelong athlete and dancer, she began yoga in 2008 where the practice revealed its powerful ability to shift both her inner and outer experience. The body is a process, shifting, shaping and re-shaping every day.
Sigrid is interested in cultivating a compassionate inner space to become witness to habits of the mind and body. Through pranayama (breathwork) and attentiveness to anatomical alignment, her classes engage stillness and fluid movement aiming to embody and empower the individual. She received her 200 hour training at Lucent Yoga, as well as additional training from Katonah Yoga, Three Physiyoga, Greenhouse Holistic and Exhale to Inhale trauma informed yoga.
Her choreographic art has been performed and exhibited at Andrea Rosen Gallery, SIGNAL, Guggenheim, The Broad Museum amongst others. Sigrid’s credits in movement direction cross many areas of entertainment and fashion including Mugler, Calvin Klein, Peter Do, Nike, DONDA 1 & 2 live, SOPHIE live tour, Drew McDowell and more. Her passion is moving together; and she hosts a monthly workshop called, ‘how to throw a body a way.’
